You're right. Magnuson-Moss....basically, nothing can legally "void" your warranty without definitive proof that the part caused the damage your claiming under warranty.

But everyone says it, because they know the inevitable fight on their hands....

Their prices are astronomical and they released these parts too late in the game. Better parts were available for less money when the car was released in 2010.

Not sure about anyone else....but the #1 reason I will never buy a GM performance part is because their own parts VOID YOUR WARRANTY!

GM should learn to ask the right questions...but I still let them know.

The entire survey is a bit ridiculous. The main problem with GM accessories is the price and voiding the warranty. It should be very obvious to anyone with half a brain. GM should sell these aftermarket items with very little markup, to encourage more auto sales and give current owners a reason to visit the local dealer. Instead, they jack the prices up to insane levels, then create a survey to figure out why no one is buying them.

They could justify the higher price if they didn't void the warranty....imagine how many CAI they could sell at a higher price if they didn't void the warranty

Not late if they are looking at what performance parts to make available sooner for the 6th gen. That's the feeling I got from this survey.

LSX or 427 as an option would be so awesome. I will just keep my 2010 which is a RP6 car unless they offer some killer options for HP on the 6th Gen and/or improved drive train capable of handling more HP.

If they want to develope a nice aftermarket business, all they need to do is look at Harley Davidson. They probably make more money selling parts than they do selling bikes.
