Woman escapes oncoming train!

Did anyone see this on the news? Apparently this lady got disoriented while driving to a friends house. She pulled over and made a right on some train tracks to call her friend up and get additional directions, that's when the cop saw her and lead her out to safety.

Yeah...that was close!

A buddy of mine has pushed at least one car off train tracks before to avoid it being hit by an oncoming train. Think it was left there on purpose.

Well, according to her own statements she doesn't have that great of vision at night as it is BUT, what's wrong with her ears? Can she not hear the trains' very loud whistle? What gets me is that she's walking away from her vehicle in a very, "nonchalant" manner; as though she's unaware of what's inevitably going to happen to her car. Then when the train smashes in to that thing, she's all shocked & shaken! duh'

But on the other hand, I though trains were supposed to be traveling 10-20 mph across public roadways... maybe I'm wrong.

If you're vision is so bad that you don't realize you are parking your car on train tracks, you need to be taking the bus.

She was probably drunk.

And I agree. If she can't see at night, she shouldn't be driving.

Mmm, I agree with Tag. If you're still tipsy from last night- railroad tracks seem to be the most logical place to park and holla at your friends. Watching it again, you start to pick out details like her thanking the officer again and again. Probably because she thinks he's going to give her directions, then--- screams of horror. It's just funny (in a weird way) that her car suddenly exploding is like, NEWS to her. Seems like your average person would be freakin' from the moment they left their car.

Well... at least it wasn't a Camaro...
