The 1LE having BOSE would be nice. But in reality what's the point of premium sound with the formats most people listen to these days? Hell lack of a CD player in general will keep me from owning another Camaro.

I'm not trying to be an audio snob, but factory sound systems just don't cut it for me. The Cobalt SS system just couldn't compare to the 9 speaker 2 amp system that I had in my Sunfire prior to that.

My 3 amps are 15 year old Alpine's. I would have no problem moving them to another vehicle. They have been nothing but amazing. I would get all new speakers though.

I have a 1TB iPod Classic w/ almost 10 000 16 bit and 24 bit (better than CD) Apple lossless tunes on it.

If the car was a track car, the extra weight wouldn't be desirable, but don't track it. I have never had anyone who listened to it tell me they thought it was overkill. I haven't heard the Bose system yet, but I doubt it even comes close to sounding as good as my system. Not evryone is that serious about car audio though, so I'm not judgemental.

Not according to GM! Only available on the 1SS for 2017.

Only 1SS, BUT...it's not the same trim as a regular SS. Like you get suede/leather, HUD, etc, etc...like a "1.5SS" with lots of extra performance goodies...

The SS version of the 1LE package will only be available for the 1SS.

The V6 version of the 1LE package will be available on either a 1LT or a 2LT, but it must have a V6 engine.

Sure....say what you will but the BOSE system is getting rave on this forum reviews as a very good stock system. The old 5th gen BA system wasn't good enough to satisfy most that wanted a solid "upgraded" system, but the BOSE is. Only those used to an expensive/modified system and want large subwoofer bass and loudness will feel a need to upgrade.

So I see nothing wrong with someone really wanting the BOSE system and expecting it to sound good.

That said, there is absolutely no way I'd let the 1LE not having BOSE deter me from buying one. Hell, I bought the 1SS without BOSE, so obviously that doesn't bother me lol.
