bolt on ss vs cbr600rr

who knew a bolt on ss would embarrass a bike!!! it was a dead heat off the tree untill i shifted into 3rd then it was almost like he hits the brakes.

2007 cbr600rr slip on exhaust otherwise stock.
2011 camaro ss modds in sig.

I have a 2005 cbr600rr. And I traded my car for a weekend for an SS but backed out of the deal. There is no way that the car is faster. Dont care what bolt ons you have.

The 2005 bikes are slightly faster than the 2007. At least I read that on the cbr forum I'm on.

Ive seen alot of 600cc bikes at the local 1/8 mile that run 7.40s or better.

Good kill either way, nothing wrong with beating a faster machine.

Congrats. But that is certainly a case of better car driver than motorcycle rider. Even a 600 is very capable of 10's. So unless you have some amazing bolt ons, it was a bad rider.

I've got 500rwhp and my '96 F3 CBR600 will walk away from my SS.

Hang your head high and point and laugh at the guy on the CBR next time. Just don't give him a chance to get even.

every time i get on my gsxr1000 i am amazed at how much faster it is than my SS. unless you r driving a VERY VERY fast car, a modern sportbike bike will get the W...amazing that something worth about 5k can pack so much performance.

I raced a few sport bikes in my 06 Lingenfelter TT vette. Had some good runs with cbr1000's and modified GSXR's . The 600's are lighter but dont quite have the same straight line speed; however, in a camaro unless your running something that can launch the space shuttle your going to lose -- it's not really a fair fight.. Its best to stick to racing those with 4 wheels

Yup bike should be low 11s / high 10s in the 1/4 all day long with a decent driver. Good win
