I missed a shift one time and a hand came out of the dash and smacked me up side the head and said " This is an onstar warning don't be a dumbass or the car goes back". So I can believe the performance warning.

I can see I am not the only with all the options on their new Camaro. It was a high price to pay, but well worth it.
You can never be too careful.

The sad part is that some people will believe this......

Trust me - -we have enough to do ....we don't have time to 'watch' people thru OnStar...........

(.........well - except for Number 3 to ensure he's doing his job...)

(.....OK - I made that last part up......)

OnStar does pretty much know everything about where you are and what you are doing but it isnt like they are tracking you on their own. The alerts are automated and they only "track" you if you ask them to! It isnt Big Brother!
People laugh now but this is where the future of cars will likely be. Car makers would love a reason to void a warranty, especially if some kid was constantly breaking 100 in his car.

Computers do things we don't have time to do.

while(true)
{
if(top_speed > 100)
{ voidwarranty(); }
}

Forever looping and waiting. No one really SHOULD be going over 100 unless they're at the track, and that's supposedly a warranty breaker already. Enjoy the freedom while you can.

If you're offering!

If we have the technology to know when people are breaking the law, it's only common sense that it will someday be used, whether we want it there or not. I could care less either way but it would be incredibly easy to have implemented.
