Can we please try and respect the other cars we compare to the Camaro? When we say stuff like "Rustang" and "rice burner" we look like insecure kids who need to insult the competition to make ourselves feel better. The Camaro in my opinion is the best overall but there are things I like about all the other cars.

If you stay respectful to the competition your opinion will actually have some value as you won't come off like a one-sided Camaro fanboy.

Man I will say this the g37 is not a direct competitor. Different clientel different price point. No one is cross shopping a G37 with a camaro not even close to the same buyer. That's the reasoning for the Z comparison. These cars will be cross shopped like it or not guys.

Have you seen the price of a loaded Genesis? It's almost the same as a 1SS. Who in their right mind would rather have a 305 hp V6 Hyundai instead of a 426hp Chevrolet?

How much do you really think people are going to cross shop them? 2 seats v. 4 seater. V6 v. V8. Price differences, looks difference...I just don't buy it. They are comparable in performance numbers, and that's it.

Why do we do this over and over again. Maybe I'm simplistic... But, you get more for your money with the Camaro5. Bottom line.

Besides you can get a 370z sport model for 30000 same as a 2lt and it will put the 2lt to shame

The seats are what make it an entirely different car!! More weight, more functionality, more practicality. Not to mention that the Camaro has DOUBLE the cargo room...then you've got a hundred more horsepower, and the torque to go with it.

They are just not near the same class. One's a compact sports car, and the other's a midsized sporty 2+2. I mean, you might as well compare the Silverado to the Aveo because they go just as fast. I just don't get it!

The base 370z is 30k and change, there is no 370z sport model. But to get the ammenities the 2LT offers, you'd need to opt for the 370z touring, which is $35,000...then let me correct you and say the 2LT is $27k and change, not 30. That's almost an 8 thousand dollar difference. I don't understand that comparison...

How is it you lump everyone in under your opinion?

As far as their v6 is faster than our v8 I say we put both of the engines at the stop light and see which is quicker...

Oh wait we might need the rest of the car...

From Edmunds.

Here, I selected every option available from Edmunds and listed the specs from Edmuds for both car's highest trim levels. The only thing edmunds didn't have was the mpg of the L99.

Now you guys decide.

To me, the choice is obvious. But i'm biased...

The ONLY competition for a new 5th Gen Camaro is a C5 Corvette.

The 370Z is a joke.
Don't even let me get started about the performance once a LSx is modded.
What are you going to do to the Z, add another mouse under the hood ????

I own a 350Z (G35x), and it's a peppy taxi cab, it ain't a performance car.
