Add NPP after purchase
Did a search but failed so sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.
Looked at a really nice 1LE last night...but it's missing NPP exhaust. Is it possible to add stock GM NPP system to a car that was ordered without it? Thanks |

It has been done and I've been on the hunt for a slightly used one, myself.

yup, just need the rear diffuser for the npp exhaust…you can buy them at dealers for about 150…you can get the npp or zl1 exhaust from other members from $500-$750.

If you want to be able to control the flaps (open/close), you'll need something like NPP in a box otherwise the flaps will always be open.

Seems like it's such a popular item that Chevy should have a Part # that would give everything needed for the conversion. |

The rear diffuser is just a trim piece that replaces the one you have for non-NPP. It has nothing to do w/ controls or electrical connections.

Contact ADM Performance. They have a remote control for the NPP. I have it on my SS.

I purchased NPP for $500 and the diffuser is $109 at dealer. ADM did the install, what jrhagen said.

Note that the non NPP system appears to have resonators about midway back. I left those in place, and never experienced any drone. A full NPP system will not have resonators and will likely be louder. I have since sold that car and bought another with NPP. I dont recall much of a difference. My 2 cents - get one with factory NPP unless you are getting a terrific deal or you already bought a standard exhaust. I have a thread out there about the conversion and dyno comparison... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=316448 |

Where did you find a used/new exhaust?
I'm picking up a 2014 1SS/RS this weekend and would like to know if this is something the dealer could install before I drive it off, or if I'll be doing the work myself. |

One of our sponsors had acquired a number of take offs from test cars. Those are gone, but there are people selling their take offs.

How about a sound clip ? After market controllers require NPP wiring which your car doesn't have. What you need is "NPP in a box" ... http://www.gscreations.com/npp-in-a-...rvette-camaro/
