When is GM planning to drop this bomb? I know for a lot of people it doesn't matter but it seems the ring times are becoming an important benchmark for performance vehicles these days and it would be nice to know where the new SS Camaro slots in against the competition. I know we haven't seen any SS pre-production vehicles out on the ring for a long time so maybe they are just going to skip it all together???? Anyone have any info on this? It would be awesome if the fbodfather would comment on this.

Wow, thanks guys. Not sure how i missed this, i took a sabbatical away from the 5th gen for a while and that was probably when this info was released.

8.20 is not too bad i guess, respectable company to be around in that area. I wonder if this was posted on Wikipedia, i was just looking there for the time.

Honestly, ya Nurburgring is cool and all.... but what I want to see is how it will perform with The Stig behind the wheel, on the Top Gear Test Track!!!

I'll agree with you on this too! I'm very anxious to see how the yellow teeth Brits over there on Top Gear rip it apart.....or as a complete shocker, maybe they will actually find something good to say for once about an American car that's not a ZR-1.

That episode of Top Gear should be awesome, cant wait!

That isn't an official time. So odds are, a couple seconds could be trimmed on the production version
