Am I the only one thinking that would be an awesome job? Just go drive new cars around. I think I am more then qualified for that job.

I know that I am in the minority but I like the LED's and I like that GM is moving forward with LED lights and getting away from the ancient filament light bulbs from the 1920's!

They look better than the current taillights IMO.

There currently is no specific laws in Europe that require changes to the tail lights and side mirrors for imported US vehicles. LED tail lights nor a large viewing surface on the side mirrors is required to operate an import here. Import laws are actually kind of relaxed with the exception of a detailed cleaning of the entire vehicle including the chassis...

I'm not sure where the assumption that special modified safety features came from but it is false...

I actually like the sunglasses, my only problem with them is they are a bit too busy. I think if they could come down the massive reflection from them, and quiet down the reverse portion, they'd be awesome.

Those tail lights have grown on me.....I really like them, now.

My question is -- did the yellow car(s) in the OP have those export mirrors or them? I think that helps support whether those brake lights are export-only or not...

Only thing I can think of for those hideous tailights, is that what we currently see will be covered up with a standard looking red lens, and the LEDs there will provide kind of an afterburner effect like we've seen with some aftermarket products. At least I HOPE that's what GM is thinking there...

@Brokinarrow, your right, they most definitely will have some sort of cover over them. Whether its tinted red or not but these LEDs in the yellow Camaro above have no cover on them at all.

Example of a protective cover over the LED system on an Audi.

Anyone notice in the attachment above how much that Yellow Camaro's rearend with the sunglasses tail light looks like a 3rd Gen's front end?
