LSX 427 question

I'm having a LSX 427 built and have a TVS 2300 and wondering what kinda of power "roughly" it will make. I am gonna over spin the maggie so it puts out around 18lbs of boost. I am including the build sheet so it will answer alot of questions up front. I know it's a guess on the hp numbers just wanna have a ballpark idea

I made changes I went with the billet rods and the dragonslayer crank

I'm thinking ,mind you i dont do that to often, with the motor and extra boost I should be close to the 900-1000rwhp range

Sorry but you arent going to get anywhere near this range with a maggie as its just too small of a blower and you are not going to be able to get that kind of boost out of it with the LSX427.

LSX 427 will support plenty of power. It is just going to be limited by the power added. Maggie maybe able to make 800rwhp. Upgrade to something like a Ysi and make 1000+rwhp.

I am doing the same build almost, just Mast LS7 heads, and a D1SC. I have figured it will be difficult to get 800rwhp with the D1 so i think you will also have a hard time. Good luck

Oh, and you fuel system may be cutting it close!

Acording to Magnason we have the record for rwhp using a 2300,were at 850rwhp,weve switched to dual 90mm tbs and it should help take that number higher.I dont think your going to get close to you 900-1000 hopes, its tuff when you get to 750 to get much futher. Your going to get around 12lbs of boost and be in the low to mid 700s depending on dyno as well as the cam chioce and tuner. If we can help you get all you can out of the 2300 give me a call.

I think the issue will be the 427 c.i. you have will be too large to make more than 12-14 psi as Thomas stated. You simply can't spin the maggie fast enough and be effective to get anymore with that size engine. You are still moving the same air as you would be on a 377 c.i. engine at 17-18 psi just the psi is lower because of less restriction from the larger 427 engine.

your issue is you have a 2.3 liter blower trying to fill up 427 Cubic Inches.

the 2300 just cant do that very good. 12-14 psi will be about all your going to get unless you over spin it past its RPM but then your just heating up the air and in turn going backwards actually. that 2300 is good for about 950 crank MAX so 750ish would be a good number to shoot for.

we pulled the maggie off our shop car for this exact reason and went with a YSI. Dont get me wrong the maggies are a awesome blower, i love them and sell a ton of them, BUT they have there place.

we did 750 wheel through an auto and a 9", on 12 PSI on a maggie not long ago. On a 418 CI motor. there was a TINY bit more in it boost wise but the customer didnt want to spin the maggie to hard. 21st is a good shop they will get you all they can and do it right for you!!! John is a top notch guy!

Not a chance in hell...unless of course you use a Canadian dyno. Sorry.
