I'm all over this thread. Those COPO seats look great, but GM aftermarket usually costs a $&!#-ton. I need retain my recline function, and make sure my shoulders fit in between the side bolsters. Anybody know of somewhere you can see some of these seats in person, maybe sit in one before buying?

I like the Sparco R100 for the money. Never sat in one though.

I too would like to replace the seats with some recaro seats. I've thought about using the CTS-V seats, but want to know if it's a direct fitment.

In case any of you have never used racing seats, I had MOMO's in my turbo mk4 jetta and when I took them out later I didn't have the same feel/confidence to take corners as fast even though the suspension mods remained( coil overs, sways, bushings, mounts). I don't even mean at ten tenths, just out on the road carving corners I noticed myself taking them about 10 mph slower because of perceived roll and traction limits.
So changing seats actually made a real driving difference to me that I thought wasn't associated with them at all. Hope that helps some people pull the trigger. I know I'm a big guy and still slide around in my ss seat. |

There is always this option too for those with a limited budget or prefer not to swap seats.
http://angelwingstech.com/featured-product-3/ I have never used them but I have read good things about them.

Do you use both the angel pads and cg lock or just the cg lock?

I started with the CG lock then added the angel wings. Only thing is I made my own. Went to a fabric store and got some fabric and some foam, shaped the foam to fit my big ass just right then had my dad who makes back/ leg baces sew them up. $38 total.

In my 4th gen I have some carbon fiber Siebon seats. These things weigh only 11lbs with the mounts. I wouldnt recomend them for road racing, but for street use and autox they are great.

I'm thinking of getting a sparco seat with a seat base so I can swap aswell for track days. My concern now is not having the side air bag under the oem seat. With the Air bag light ON flashing, will it deactivate ALL the others Air bags in the Car?
