Three pages later and I'm still crying. Dawson was one lucky little boy to have a father like you and I'm sure he'll always right there in the passenger seat with you everytime you drive his car.

Words can't express the sadness. Thanks Scott for sharing the story. Those that don't know say it's just a car, but we all know better. My prayers are with the family and hopefully little Dawson watches out for all of us.

Handkerchief? I need a full-length shower towel...

Mike -- I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you can enjoy the Camaro in Dawson's memory.

I simply cannot imagine the pain that this man and his family must experience each and every day.....

I'm warning you - you are going to need a handerchief........

Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers.........
AHHHH, crap. Scott... you warned, and I read anyway. I'm sending the bill for a box of tissues to you.

In the meantime... that's just awesome. I can't think of a better word. It`s amazing how a piece of engineering can affect peoples lives.
Mike, thank you for sharing. That is an amazing photo of your sons. My prayers are with you and your family. Enjoy your Camaro, and the next time you take Dawson for a drive I would be honoured if you would tell him that Jason says `hi`. I loved the Transformer movies too, and it was instrumental in me buying my Camaro.

To Mike and your family, I am sorry to hear this news. I do know how you feel.

I'm so happy to hear that the car brought such happiness to you and your son. It's really great to have those memories.

God bless.

God takes the good ones because they're the ones worth keeping. Dawson is a keeper. And while he crossed the finish line early and is gone from here, he is not gone. You did not lose him; he is very much found and in the very best of hands right now. Sometime in the future... you have a reunion to look forward to.

It's testimonies like this that remind us; be worth "keeping". Thank you Scott for sharing this letter.

The Camaro has somehow captured the Spirit of America and that spirit seems to have infused itself into the car in a way that's affecting lives in an amazing and remarkable fashion. From you Scott and the things you do and post, right down to a little boy and the power he has to inspire all who read his story. All because of a car called Camaro.

I love mine and I'm proud to be part of a community of people with this kind of spirit. This to me is what has made and still makes America great.

Thank you Scott for sharing this, thank you Mike for being the father of such a great little boy, and thank you Dawson for being such a great person that God decided early you're a keeper. I am inspired and humbled by all of you.

Man. As a father of 2, my heart feels for you. I ordered mine last September and kept it a secret form them until 2 weeks ago when we picked it up. I think it was the best day of their life, not to mention one of mine too. I too see the looks on my kids faces when we go for a cruise. The next song I play in mine will be for Dawson. My deepest condolences for you and your family.

To all of you who responded to this thread, thank you so much for your kind words.

As many of you have said, "God only takes the good ones". Dawson truly was one of the good ones - he was a dream to raise and his mother and I were incredibly fortunate that he chose us to be his parents. I am so sad that he couldn't stay longer but for the time he was here, he got everything he could out of his short life and gave everything he had to make others' lives a brighter place - he was that special.

I know for many of you, AC/DC may not be your thing but if you ever find yourself listening to Thunderstruck (his all-time best song ever!), crank it up to about 25, let the bass shake your seats and mirrors and think about my little man rocking in heaven.
