wow!! is right thanks for pointing that out ...must have been a 1.40 reaction not that that effects the time slip. But to have that ET and speed with a crappy driver in a stock car on street tires is suspect. Even in a ZR1... Someone prove me wrong please. Can a stock ZR1 on street tires go 133 MPH in the 1320? (highly doubt it ) I have never driven one myself so that is my disclaimer.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21013 Back to the video of the ZR-1 , that launch was pretty freakin good! The guy running that car also runs with a guy called (Ranger) John Armstrong , so he probably knows what he is doing. Ranger has set MANY records in Corvettes , Stock or Stock with Drag Radials. If you look at the video in the bottom left hand corner it says (produced by Ranger Acceleration.com) I recommend you check it out! http://www.rangeracceleration.com/

Not comparing apples to oranges? I referenced my 1.39 @ 127 mph to show what can be done with that mph. You may need a little touching up on your knowledge of drag racing too! |

My guess for the ZL1:
12.0 @ 123 mph.

My NHRA C/Stock Chevelle 60's 1.37 , 10.73 @ 122 mph. There is no way I can compare that to the ZR1 they are 2 different animals!

.
I know the ZL1 will come in at <12 in the quarter, and <4 seconds in the 0-60 because I would otherwise not be "astounded." I was told to prepare to be astounded by ZL1 and I'm ready to lay down some rubber. That is all. .

12.6 with a bone stock SS is damn good!
"1.7 60' with a 133 mph is not a good launch"Unless its an all wheel drive car...I'll take a 1.7 60' any day with a stock car on stock tires.

what I was thinking. . . best I ever did on standard radials was a 1.91 60' in a 98 z28. and I ran a 12.5002 sec at 111.9 mph. a High 60ft with High MPH and low ET indicates to me a crappy launch or the car is built for the big end. a low 60ft time and low et with low mph should mean over all a good car. but who usually wins the guy with higher MPH, if same ET. still trying to figure that one out.

maybe they changed the rules. but the last time I watched a drag race the higher mph won if the ET's were the same.
