Well, +8 hp is the same if u add good aftermarket intake. Maybe enough to be as fast, as stang v6 is. Maybe u will have add shorties or smth. Not a big deal. U have some money to add it, if stang comes with perf. package. Actually, no one rly knows, how fast mustang v6 is. Some of those magazines posted a year ago camaro v6 is going 5,7... Lie.
But the main idea ofc is 312 sounds better then 305 for the most young buyers, who cant decide: chevy or ford. Then they look at design... Interesting, what will they buy....

Honestly, I expected more. Maybe, as other have said, this is only the first volley of information and more is to come.

Its 8 hp not 6 no biggie there but in combination with the independent rear suspension it will help make up some of the difference in weight. We don't know any other changes in weight and or performance hardware yet. One though, If your such a big mustang guy why do you troll around here wouldn’t your buddies at rustang.com be much happier with you servicing them? Can't find the same thrill over there? I've been here on this site twice as long as you and have half the messages; I've owned 4 camaros and have been a big fan for a long time. Yet I don't have time to troll on mustang sites let alone visit one of them. Someone needs to move on and mature a little.

If nothing else changes then 8 hp is not good enough for even a 1 tenth and 1 mph jump in performance.

Why would they change a whole engine 1 model year into a new car? lol that's expecting to much (for the person that asked if it's the same v6 engine)

"Synergy Green will be offered on ALL models for a limited time"

How about the people that have already bought a Synergy Green - now they find out that they could have gotten a 2LT, 1SS, or 2SS in that color. Great for those who waited, not cool for the others!!!

C5's and C6's DO have a special windshield on HUD cars to help increase the definition of the HUD. I believe its polarized or something. That said the HUD works perfectly fine on cars without that windshield its just not as defined and doesn't hold up as well in direct sunlight. IMO not worth changing a $1000 windshield.

Installing the HUD will be a major job. Not only do you have to remove and replace the entire dash and transfer all the component into a new one. But more importantly there is no guarantee that the 2010s have the correct connectors on their wiring harness for it in the first place. This would be an expensive and time consuming job.
