The blower swap will fit into later plans, but for now will be spinning at the slowest speed to limit boost somewhere between 13-16 psi. This engine has a beefed upper end but stock bottom end, so yes, we must be careful. Guess we will see what an LS3 on E85 will take.

I like everything but the cog. I think a cog on a stock crank can be a problem. I know of a f1-r with a cog that broke the snout off the crank. I've got a 12 rib on mine and will stay with it when I swap to the F1-x.

I hear you. The head mechanic at G-Force Motorsports had an F-1X on his G8 and it broke something on the crank, but the Camaro is designed differently from the G8 and is supposedly not a problem, especially spinning it slow like I will for this set-up.

Guess we will see, like most everything else.

I am considering updating to ID-1700 or ID-2000 Injectors, and adding a 3rd fuel pump while the car is in the shop. Then both my fuel and air systems will be capable of supporting 1200-1300 hp.

Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like a plan. Never can have too much fuel!

After further consideration I am not going with bigger injectors and a 3rd fuel pump with this build. The shop wants to limit the HP to around 850 ish and my current fore twin pumps and 1000cc injectors will handle that. Dang the larger injectors are expensive little buggers.

I discussed the crank issue with the lead mechanic at G-Force Motorsports and basically what he told me is that the cog drive will end up putting less stress on the crank because it doesn't have to be tight like a 10 or 12 rib set up. He said you have to get the belt systems so tight on a 10/12 rib so they wont slip that a lot of force is actually put on the crank, but the cog belt is only required to be hand tight (no prying with a bar to get every last millimeter of stretch out of the belt).

He had problems with his F-1X when he was shooting for ~ 25+ psi of boost whereas we will only be shooting for 15 psi on this build. When/if I upgrade the block then I will have to upgrade the crank too for the extra stress on it with higher psi demand.

Not a lot to report on the build, but the race blow-off valve is mounted. They hope to have the car running late tomorrow and possibly tuned/dyno'd on Friday.

I could never get my cog belt to last on my f1r, it spit it out like 3x before i switched over to a 12 rib. Made a nice little mess of everything it touched also. your car looks solid though man

Appreciate the feedback. Did you contact ProCharger about your issue? If so, did they offer any explanation?
