What size tires should I use for 24 inch rims?
Im planning on ordering 24 inch rims for my SS Convertible and want to make sure I get the right size rims and tires. From what Ive read on here so far I can go with 255/30/24 or 275/25/24 and 24x9.5 rims without any rubbing issues and no modifications. When I called the rim shop they tol;d me they would definately rub.
Can anyone help me here that has 24's on their Camaro as to what size rims and tires I should go with? Thanks!! |

I like the bigger rim look more then smaller rims with bigger tires - if I dont like them I can always sell them but I like the pics Ive seen of the 5 spoke 24's over the smaller rims, just personal preference I guess

If you have 22s they are easier to fit and will perform better. Mine rides on 22 Modulares with a nice drop to get that look you're after. 22s will also ride 1000x better than a 22. Not to mention there's a better selection of tires out there. Here's mine:

I run 275/25/24's on my rear. No rubbing issues at all. 265/30/22's on front.

24x9.5" isnt gonna work up front. You need a 9" wide front, rear doesnt really matter. If you do choose a 9.5", smallest you could do are a 255/30/24, but they would be stretched. 265/30 or a 275/25 will work on a 9.5" wide. I'm running a 24x9/24x10 with a 255/30 front and 275/30 rear. Only rub I get is on roads with a serious drop or jolt to the suspension, the front will rub a little bit but I never rolled my fenders either. If you had a body shop roll the lips they wouldnt rub at all
