Very Disappointed. Not enough headroom.

Our local Chevy dealer (heritage Chevrolet in Chester) just got in a silver RS (no sunroof) and it doesn't have enough headroom for me. I'm 6'5" and have a hard time finding a car that fits me. The Challenger has enough headroom though, but doesn't have the power and gas mileage of the Camaro. I liked everything else about the car.

obvious question, but sometimes not thought of... did you lower the seat and tilt it??? I know that seat lowers alot, because evertime my hubby drives it I have to raise it back up

Someone posted on the forums that was 6'8" and he had enough headroom with the seat properly adjusted.

I am 6' and sit very upright. I cannot fit well with a sunroof but when I sat in a non sunroof car I was amazed at the difference. I suspect that at 6' 8" not many cars are comfortable. You may want to check the G8 GT it is no Camaro but it is pretty spacious.

kelpie must have a long torso to leg ratio...
but +1 on lowering the seat.

Windshield=10" vertical

that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

6.5 is tough for headroom in a lot of cars especially the Japanese ones. Seat needs to be at lowest setting and layed back a bit. The telescoping wheel to full extent also. I'm sure you had no problem with leg room in the Camaro.

Is it just a showcar? It would be roughly a 20 min drive for me but i'd like to check it out if it's still there.

You might have to unbolt the seat and remount it further back.

I was told you can do this with LS1 f-bdoies...

6'5" Here and fit perfectly........with sunroof. Take your time to fiddle around with the power seat controls and you should find your proper fit

Your seat was not adjusted properly at 6'7 and long torso I fit with about 1/2 - 1 inch to spare. No go with sunroof.

5'11" I fit fine even w/o the seat clear down. I don't lay down when I drive, either.

6'4" here and I drive a 2LT with a sun roof and it was fine. I could feel the roof at times when I leaned foward to turn my head but not like I hit the roof or anything. You need to go back and try again. Make sure it has the power seat and lower it all the way down. Sit in the car and adjust the tilt and the back from there. I think you will find you just needed to play with the seat some to make it fit you.
