Good input. On another page on this forum the factory states the top speed to be 250 kmph which comes out to 155 mph.

So you're saying the 2010 Camaro is not aero dynamically stable at speeds above 140 mph in stock form. Something to remember.

The 180s claim I do vaguely remember from Indy...but not 189 -- that's Corvette -- that's not possible.

Yes it is. Though, VERY few cars are stable at those speeds...because it has to be purposely-designed to be stable at such high speed, like the Vette.

I think the vet did 193 while GM was testing it in Germany on the autobahn. I saw something on Speed a while back but I may be off a bit on the speed. I'm fairly certain it was over 190.

Wow so the SS only goes to 155?... my V6 LT2/RS got up to 153 on a straightaway? I guess that's what you get for having a governor on the car

Mine did 155mph on the dyno in 4th gear, no air got under it to destabilize it.

Need a 2 mile drag strip somewhere local to open her up safely, that or Death Valley....

I would not let Arnold in my car if you paid me................................................ ...........................get it, Governor

in proper environments we know it will go at least 155 bone stock! however, thats as fast as it can go bone stock because of the speed limiter due to the tires!

in reality, the camaro isnt made and designed to go as fast as the corvette. it may have the same engine, but the camaro is a muscle car. muscle cars were never high speed cars. they are designed for straight shot, balls to the wall 0-quarter mile!

and to look gooooooooooood!

Top speed is 155 set by the electronic limited and it will do 175-180 drag limited. I've only had mine up to 130 once and could prob hit 190's with the work done to it but I don't really have the balls to do it on the road and don't know any closed courses i could do it. I took my 06 cobalt ss up to 155 stock and 178 with the turbo swap/ complete suspension and it was pretty stable, but I've become a bit more mature since then and save the speed for the track.
