Absolutely zero other cars. Speed is super but the handling is, well, words just don't do it justice.

"Confidence inspiring" describes it beautifully! The 2SS/RS I traded against our ZL1 used to "push" in the corners all the time on the street. No comparison to the ZL1!

But they aren't 4-seat, 4200 lb cars either. The ZL1 is unmatched at what it does for what it is.

My Z06 has way more front and rear end grip. No comparison.

The sway bar bias (25mm front, 28mm rear) really helps the ZL1, even with staggered wheels and tires. The 1LE has better balance (no blower) and a semi square wheel and tire setup so even with 'stolen' ZL1 bits it grips better. In fact, the 1LE grips so well it was too neutral so it was released with a 27mm front bar to add back some understeer. You can address that by installing a 25mm ZL1 front bar or a larger rear bar. Then there is the Z/28 with 305/30/19s all round.
I wonder where they got that idea? |
