Thank you, father! I was starting to get the shakes and see little green monkeys! Now I'm back to my normal impatiantness (sp?-is that even a word? ). I have a question for everyone, when you see a current gen. mu$t@ng on the road, do you let out an evil laugh and get a BIG grin on your face?
I do.....WOOOHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The Camaro will need to have broader appeal than just to the Camaro faithful and/or Chevy faithful or even muscle car faithful. I for one am glad it's not being titled a "Muscle Car" by GM but instead a performance car.

I share those thoughts

I always wonder why people get so worked up about Lutz, Wellborn and others talking about the Camaro... every time I see one of those threads, I read the initial post and then prepare myself for the inevitable "the sky is falling" posts... but its always good to hear Scott chime in and calm down the masses.

but seriously, folks, is it really necessary for him to have to post this kind of post every time? haven't we all learned to "have faith" and realize the difference between generalizations and fact? must we believe everything that some auto journalist (whose job is to publish stories and make mountains out of mole hills) says, thinks or talks about?

there's a fine line between passion and panic, and we seem to flirt with it day in and day out during this time where the Camaro is under development... please keep that in mind when you're reading anything on the new Camaro... or any new car, for that matter.

I can be accused of helping spread the "fire". In all honesty though, we have only the automotive news outlets on the net to look to, there is no other resource to pull info from other than word of mouth (which doesn't hold much water if any at all in any "e-community"). With that said, what makes all the difference is obviously how we react to the news. There are many here that are very passionate about the 5th-gen and highly anticipate it's release, so mix the two together and the end result of the "sky is falling" mentality isn't very surprising. It is what it is, and luckily we have Scott to help us through all the anticipation and anxiety.

Great post! I think it's cause everyone's so passionate about owning the new Camaro that's why there's overreaction. I'm just glad fbodfather puts up with us and continues to soothe our crazy paranoid passions

Exactly. With gas the prices what they are now and "green" car movement stronger than ever, it's probably smarter marketing wise to call it a performance car rather than muscle car anyway

Come to think of it, there is a resemblance now that you mention it... but it's actually Art Schroeder from Winnipeg... PoSSum on some of the boards.
