Bird Crap!

Well, I officially have my first paint imperfection. I woke up this morning and found bird shit on the hood, but I think no big deal since I'm was going to wash it anyway. Well, it appears to have damaged the clear coat - it looks like 2 water spots where it used to be, and I can't get them out. I tried a dab of Meguire's Scratch X but that did little justice.

I really want to get a coat of wax on the car, but I think it may still be too early. What do you think?

I'm surprised it doesn't dissolve the bird! It'd be cool if it did, or if his little ass burst into flames....

Oh man! That is a bummer! If a good polish should get it out, but if it doesn't, you might need to have it wet sanded with 2000 grit and the polished! Good luck and let us know how it comes out!

I had a coat of Zaino Z5 on the first day and I have several coats on now. I've had a couple of birds crap on the car, sit in the sun and it comes right off. Zaino has protected my cars for years. Use whatever product you prefer, but get some protection on there NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Water based paints are not recommended to have car covers for 3 months.

Let that paint breath BEFORE YOU WAX IT!
