They get horrid fuel economy. Like 15mpg with mixed highway/city. IMO, that's really the only considerable downside. The 20% off takes away a lot of the prohibited up-front cost, but factor in each week you'll be spending 50% more than an SS and over 100% more than a V6 (since it takes premium). If you can afford to keep driving that car, go for it.

I would agree the tires need to be upgraded if it's your daily driver.
The stock tires will break loose too easy. That is a great price. Enjoy!

Any little detail you dislike.. Issues/Quirks. Additional maintenance. (Currently have 2010 SS)
Just need as much data so I can make the decision.
Thanks.
1. milage
2. weight
3. acceleration for power level
4. visibility

the only issue with the design imo that you will see complained about is the isolator on the blower assembly. Now if you buy new enough you will have a couple instead of an isolator. some people have complained about the design as well.

there are fixes for it on the aftermarket though.

If you just like an all around drive though speed, handling, braking, comfort etc it is pretty amazing IMO. there are several cars that will better it in any one catagory but very few that do it all.

Anyone who purchases a 580hp vehicle shouldn't be worried about gas mileage.

I've had mine over 2 years now, with about 16000 miles on the odometer. If I did it over again, I wouldn't get the sunroof, but that's a minor complaint. I don't track it and wasn't a big fan of the Goodyears for daily driving, especially in cooler weather, but I recently swapped them out with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and have been quite pleased with them. All in all, it's been an amazing car and I'm even more impressed with it now than when I first got it...

Agree with both of yall but we all know plenty of other high HP cars getting better MPG. I think we can call this a CON when compared to other cars.

Example being the Corvette Z06. I know several guys getting 20+ MPG all day long.

I always consider milage. Gas cost money. Money buys other things.

my Z06 got 25mpg's and was faster so if I was comparing this car to that car it is a con. this car has 100% more back seat which I would put in the plus column.

The only thing I think could be better on the car is the finish quality on the black 10 spoke wheels. Other than that, I love my ZL1 and it is one of the best purchases I ever made! It puts a smile on my face every time I rip through the gears.

I am seeing 24 mpg highway with my ZL1. Better mileage than my Silverado, which is to be expected.

lol the first thing going through my head when buying a SUPERCHARGED V8 with 580HP is "I wonder what the gas milage is like?"

My real first thought was "How can I make it even more ridiculously fast?"

I guess technically it is a "con" but seriously at this price? It's cheaper than an SS and looks/performs way better

What happened with the sunroof that would make you not get it?
