She's Damaged / Your thoughts
My car arrived today, Damaged. Passenger mirror busted off, scratches in multiple area's in the paint, dings, and a c pillar dent, most likeley from the mirror. She is being quarantined at a GM level 2 hold until the GM rep can get their on Monday. I ordered pre-orders on Day 1
Question on your opinons; A. Woulld you accept a damaged then repaired car as new? B. Would you consider losing the uniqueness of pre-order, low vin 4372 etc...and take a replacement? Thanks for your thoughts |

let them fix it (before you pay)... if you can not tell there was ever an issue drive it home!

Why oh Why?

Damn that sucks. I know this broke your heart and I hate this for you. I can't say what I would do and others may tell you but I don't think anyone would really know unless they were in your shoes. I guess whatever the GM rep tells you will ultimately help you make your decision. Sorry about your luck and I hope everything works out the best for you.

I wouldn't accept the car unless they give you a major discount after the fix. This is unacceptable.. take nothing less than $5,000 off the MSRP price..

WTF, is this normal. I mean I kinda feel that this is an unacceptable amount of damage just from transportation. (I'm not talking about only this car, I'm talking about all the cars across the boards)
Keep your preorder, and have them fix it! Hands down, best decision! |

Sorry to hear about your mis-fortune...man,that sucks!I wouldn't accept the vehicle if it were mine.I would re-order if it were me.Maybe GM will see this problem and correct it by giving the Camaro "fold-away mirrors".Your issue with the side-view mirror being broken isn't the first time this has happened.But then again you would think that most transporters would be aware of this issue by now?

Man I would hate to be in your shoes..The Car looks awesome by the way..if it were me I would let them fix it and even though I wouldn't want to I would take it. make sure they give you a great discount or free oil changes and tires for life or something

If it were just the mirror I would take is without an issue, since its more I would take the car only if I were well taken care of on the price and other things.

Yeah, good luck on that. Even if the damage happened at the dealership, the only thing they're responsible for is to repair it, not hand him a "sorry for your loss" check. Get it fixed and drive home happy.

I would demand substantial money back, specifically the value of 1 door and 1 mirror plus paint. I would happily collect on those values in the form of parts.
