Damn, KB! Car looks a lot different than when I last saw it. Looking REAL purty!!!

VT Knight, another SW with high wing spoiler in the DMV, eh?

Storm Trooper, I ordered my high wing with the car as well, came with RS spoiler delete & the dealer installed the high wing for me

I'm glad you like it!! I showed up to the meeting spot a little late on Sunday and missed all the early birds. I've gotten a few things done since last you saw her. SWs rule!!!!! I can't wait to see your new upgrades. Are you going down to F'Burg and will your new mods be completed by then?

I'm trying my hardest to do the F'Burg thing, not precisely sure if it's gunna happen but it's lookin' good. As far as mods, there's not much else to get done. Sure, there are a few small cosmetic things but it's all rather minor. my car is pretty well close to how I want it to look, i think

Nothing special at all, just a Flowmaster. But I do plan on getting a new grille soon and tinting the windows once I have the means to do so.

Had to dress up the engine bay.

Painting the strut tower bar was the most time consuming, but still not very hard to do. I'm going to finish the engine cover Thursday.

So many beautiful summit whites in here!

I'm contemplating getting the factory spoiler for my LS. I have never been a fan of spoilers for whatever reason, and initially I preferred the camaro without the factory spoiler, but now im having second thoughts.

If I get one, I have a dilemma.

1) Keep the rally stripes, but then ill have to find a dealer that will just sell the spoiler stripes, or at least, just the trunk/spoiler as a set. I know theres a guy on here that does.

or

2) Peel off the rallys and get the hood spears in matte black. I may be leaning toward this, because for some reason, my rallys dont look right. Meaning, there are spots of flat black in what is supposed to be gloss. Dealer put them on and ordered, it was part of a deal w my car, so I dont know if they took a shortcut and bought non factory stripes to cut corners to make a little more on the sale of the car. Also, theres been 3 new summit whites in my neighborhood/side of town that i pass all the time and I kinda want to have something unique. I havent seen a Camaro here period w the spears, let alone a summit white.

Not at that point where i have to make a decision, but ive gone through about 25 pages of this thread looking for a white LS with the hood spears. Anybody got one, without upgraded lights, grill, etc. Its hard to get an image of what my car would look like because all the cars ive seen in here with hood stripes have a bunch of amazing mods that I dont have, may make the spears look even better than they would on mine.

Yep, noticed that about the first week or two after I bought the car. I think this has to do with the fact that the paint and primer have been applied over two completely different materials (metal and composite). This causes the primer to react differently and therefore causes the paint to take on a different shade when it dried.

I looked at it from the perspective that there really isn't much to be done about it. I keep my car in a garage, limiting the exposure to the elements (sun, cold.....). If your's is outside most of the time, the sun will cause the paint to oxidize at a different rate between metal and plastic applications.

I guess that the only way to get around it is to completely repaint the whole car.

Just my 2 cents.

Can y'all post some pictures to show the color differences? Also please include the gas tank area, I have the chrome gas tank cover so maybe its not affected?
