The short ram has the highest claimed HP(16.3HP and 18bft/lbs of torque) on Phasteks website. At least from all the CAI's I checked out. And once again I will stress the word "Claimed". LOL!!!I love mine, the fit finish and design are pretty right. If I had it to do all over again I would pick the same!

I had the Vararam, and it worked good, but I ended up changing and going to the CAI and I couldn't be happier.

I had the Injen long tube and loved it, but was worried about water, so got rid of it and picked up the Vararam, it was cool, but I didn't like the looks that much and the "feel" of the car was different (and not in a good way), nothing major, it just didn't feel as responsive. So now I'm running a CAI one and it's perfect, looks good and the car feels more like it did with the Injen.

Just my 2 cents though.

I have the stock wheel liner I was thinking about getting the ZL1 wheel liner because i know it fills that hole on the bottom of the bumper. But im not sure how much that will help?

This is the V6 section. Does ADM make one for the V6?

Everyone seems to dislike K&N but for a low cost option, I think it's great! I customized it a bit with reflective insulation similar to how CAI does.

I think plenty have had problems with their K&N. it was triggering CEL in the cars, of course that doesnt mean it will happen to everyone.

Any updates? I'm guessing you screwed yourself by getting the ZL1 front end without the ZL1 wheel liners. And your car sucked water because your filter was pretty much exposed.
