Installed HUD last night - PICS

Well I ordered a HUD and harness for my LS from Ofer at Gen5Diy.com. It just arrived in the mail yesterday, so I called up my buddy to see if he could come over after work and help me install it. Let me start of by saying the install its self was not that bad....But, theres a million little screws that need to come out and finding all of them and being able to reach them is the tricky part. Then remembering what harnesses go back where because there are so many. Also, this is definitely a 2 person job, you will need another person helping you remove the dash without a doubt. It took us from 5pm to about 11:30 to install it, and even tho it was tricky at times, well worth it.

Thanks again to Ofer at Gen5diy.com for such a good HUD, harness, and all things needed to install this with a glitch. And, my buddy Bryan a fellow Camaro5 member who helped me with this install.

(don't mind that rats nest of wires in the center those are for my aftermarket touchscreen radio)

GJ man! I bought the kit from Ofer 6 months ago and have been to scared to put it in. Any tips? I have seen some people remove the seats. Seems like it went pretty smooth for you.

You do not need to remove the seats, I just put them all the way back and that was plenty of room for us. Do this during the day. We tried doing this last night after work and it seemed like half the time we were holding the flashlights for each other more than anything. Also, just take your time while doing this, lay everything out and organized along with where all of the screws are coming from and if your at all a DIY guy you can do this with a buddy.

Also, Do not attempt by yourself, you need another person helping to pull out the dash, and unhooking harnesses to pieces you are taking off. and you need someone to take over when you get frustrated with not being able to reach some of the more impossible screws that need to come off.

Other than that, measure twice and cut once on the dash, and enjoy how awesome the HUD is
