Issues with the trunk latch Anyone??

Hey has anyone had any problems with their trunk not unlatching? Mine seems to never unlatch and the dealer has no idea what is causing it. A bunch of idiots as far as I am concerned. They said that this isn't the first issue that they have heard from this however I was wanting to know if anyone else out there was having the same issues? Let me know if yall do!!
Thanks

I've had an issue with mine once. I hit the button on the door to open it, I heard it click, but when I went to the back of the car it was still locked shut. So I hit the button on my key fob and it popped open....could be the beginning of something.

Had trouble when we first got the car, I found that if we unlock it first then there is no problem, but if we try to just pop the trunk it just makes the unlatch noise without opening.... weird.

My car does the same thing every once in a while, a few times I had to hit the button 3 times before the trunk popped. Just one of those things I will keep an eye on to see if it worsens.

I had that happen often with my G35, but haven't had it happen with the Camaro yet.

Push down on the trunk lid with one finger's worth of pressure when you push the trunk release button on the key fob. Not the cure, but if you need to get into the trunk, it will work. Beats crawling into the trunk to pull the inside release when you need to get into the trunk...trust me.
Of course, see your dealer.

Mine has done it a few times but it's been a while. I would hit the button and i would hear a lot of clicks but it wouldn't unlock.

Damn, thought i was going to the dealer. ! hour later I got into yhe back seat to go thru to the trunk and hit release switch. As I opened the doot the dash indicator was out and so I went around back and the trunk was open so I closed it and it hasnt happened since, Go figure????

Mine does it from time to time. Have to push down on it then it will open. It is almost as if it did not latch properly when closed. I make sure to shut it hard now and I do not have the problem.

my trunk was permanently stuck closed. I had to have the whole latch replaced, and the guys at the dealership told me that they must have found a problem with them because the latch had been redesigned, it was different than the one on my car. They said they had a hell of a time getting my trunk open.

edit: mine started out only sticking every once in a while too, until one day i REALLY needed to open it and couldnt. So if you have this problem please get it fixed before it happens to you. Besides, my car had to sit at the dealership for 3 days because they had to order a new latch and didnt want to close the trunk because it took them so long to get it open.

yup a bunch have came across this all you need to do is twist up the bump stops and grease up the latch or go to the dealer and have them put in a new one

but the first part is the simplest and should be the first thing to give a try

good luck
