Going to start calling a few dealers on a TrailBlazer SS.

I always was a fan of the TrailBlazer SS, but never considered getting one until now.

With the way the market and the economy is I'm finding Trailblazer SS's with under 20k miles going for 19k-23k, so I think starting December I'm going to see if any dealer will buy out my lease or let me trade in my Cobalt SS/SC 7 months early.

Should be a pretty practical DD and living in Michigan I'm looking into getting a 4WD vs a 2WD TBSS for the winters. Gas will suck but I drive an average of around 100miles a week so I should be ok for the next couple years. Also going to miss not having a manual though.

I looked into a 1SS Camaro or a 2LT Camaro w RS and they are a little out of my price range for now, but I'm looking at it this way. I graduate from college in less than 2 years so after I graduate, & get into my career I'll pay off the TBSS and then get myself a Camaro SS or a Corvette or something. Plus putting down 10k should help too. Just not sure which color to get. Black or White?

Since you live in an area with crappy weather I'd go with the white; a whole lot easier to keep clean, and black looks like crap during those winter months when it won't get washed often.

Black is tough to keep clean, but they look so nice when clean. Black FTW. By buddy has one and they are quick right off the lot.

Yeah, I know about black cars... My Cobalt is black, and I had another black car before the Cobalt, so I'm no stranger to black.

They both looks so good on the TBSS it's hard for me to pick. Another reason why I'm leaning towards white is also for long term. I've noticed on my Cobalt and Cavalier that were black after 3 years the paint just doesn't look the same as it does when it's brand new.

But my parents have had a couple cars that were over 10 years old and they were white and they looked almost just as good as the day they got them

I agree - TBSS has been a bargain since it first came out.
Where are you in Metro Detroit? A friend is looking to get out of his TBSS lease. He is on www.MotownMuscle.com

Well I'm in the Dearborn for work and school, but I lived in Canton for the last 6 years...

What color and year is his TBSS?
Leather or cloth?
2WD or 4WD?
How many miles does he have on it?
What are his monthly payments and how many remaining payments does he have?
What's his buy-out price?

I'm looking into buying a used TBSS (18k-23k) or brand new if I can find one under 30k. But I def want one with under 25,000 miles, leather seats, and doesn't matter if it's 2WD or 4WD.

The TBSS is a remarkable car. I DO NOT like SUVs, but I had the chance to take a TBSS out on an autocross course and I was amazed that it was able to do things a body-on-frame SUV just should not be able to do. Still not my cup of tea, but a good vehicle overall.

I've never liked SUV's personally for myself either. Actually I've never wanted one in my whole life until now. I guess the TBSS would just be an over-all fast, fun and practical DD for me. And right now that's sorta what I need.

Paint it matte black. That would look sick on a TrailBlazer.

It's a good car and it supports America, so there are no hard feelings here. :flag2:

I'm putting this out there to see if anyone is interested in taking over the lease on my SS.

It has 26 months remaining on the lease. It currently has 12k miles. I know it's slightly over on the mileage, which is why I am willing to pay the lease tranfer fee of $550. All you pay is $410/month.

You must finace and apply through GMAC to take over the lease. It really is a pretty simple process, I have done it before.

The truck is a 1SS package, with the sun and sound package. (sun roof and bose stereo). 2WD. It has the muffler deleted and a tune from Alternative Auto. It got a fresh oil change yesterday. It has also had the clear 3M protectant put on the lower parts of the doors and the rockers to protect it from rock chips.

Here is the most recent photo. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks for the link Joe!

The miles and remaining payments have changed from what's posted there. I can get you updated details if you're still interested. It's been parked since first salt this year, but you can still take it for a spin if you like. Shoot me a PM for any details.
