Employee pricing
Anyone know what percentage discount there is with employee pricing on Camaros? Can a dealer on here look it up for me?

There is no percentage. You get "preferred pricing" and $250 off. This usually equates to $1,250-$1,500 depending on your options/model.

there is no percentage and you only get "employee pricing" or known as GMS if you are immediate family ie spouse, mom, dad, brother, sister, etc. Now there is another employee discount for friends and non immediate family. Just so you know the difference. Also with employee pricing you can usually tack on other offers as well, although im sure the Camaro still doesnt have any offers out there.
Here is what I know. I ordered my camaro on 12 MAY 09. I ordered the 1ss/rs with rally stripes and polished wheels. With just the 1SS employee pricing brought the camaro down to 28 grand. Add the RS, wheels and stripes i was right back at 31 or MSRP for what the 1SS cost. Basically I got the RS wheels and stripes for free. I would say depending on model and what discount anywhere from 1500-2000. This is the deal with employee pricing which changed about ten years ago. You used to be able to go to a dealer and beat around the bush get ur lowest price then slap down your GM discount card, and back then there was a percentage. You were suppose to be up front about your discount but nobody was. Now there is set employee pricing regardless, every car has an employee price. Sometimes your better off seeing what price you can get before saying you have the discount. My dad tried this once, my mom went in and got a lower price and my dad came back with basically WTF? Needless to say he called GM and he got a good deal on that vehicle. there is a website which will tell you employee pricing for each vehicle, it is below. https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-gmemployee/

250.00 off of MSRP, anyone that thinks they are getting anymore off is just getting that what is over msrp reduced. Just used my employee discount in july, it's not the same as when they had option 1 or 2 like before.

I dont know my dad works for GM and Im looking at the receipt. Car was MSRP of 31 knocked down to 28. Then add on the option. Its more than 250 off MSRP. Look on the website its more than 250 if thats all you got, then you got hosed.

It must have changed. I used to get employee pricing. I used it in 2003 to buy a new truck and I got about $5500 off of MSRP.

Go to https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/ip-gmsupplier/ and build your car. When you're done subtract $250 from that price and that will be the price you pay.

it all depends on the vehicle and time of year etc. If they are trying to move stock then your discount gets better. My dad worked for GM until he retired and then worked at the chevy dealer where i bought my camaro. At the time he sold a suburban and GMS was like 6 grand off. It depends on vehicle and such. Its some weird calculation it hasnt been a straight percentage for years and I beleive you still cant use it on the vette.

Jerry doesn't have what I want. So far I haven't found any dealer in Texas that does.

belong to a credit union? current or retired military?
Both combined can get you preferred pricing and then $750 off of that.
