hello all. my 2011 2SS RS M6 was built this week. today i was able to look at window sticker. it says shifter is dealer installed. any one with any info on this please reply. i thought these where going to be installed on the factory assy line.

It should be installed at the factory. Most likely a system error, something that wasn't updated from the 2010's when it was supposed to be available as a dealer item also.

We just installed one in a 2SS.

It is a super item with a really short throw. You will be glad you ordered it.

He's refering to the factory Hurst shifter. Not the aftermarket Hurst Billet/Plus 2. But yes the Plus 2 is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

just an update on the thread i started yesterday. today i went online and looked again at my window sticker and the hurst short throw.(dealer installed) is gone some one must have read this post yesterday.so they are installed on the factory line.

I was in Oshawa last weekend talking to line workers. The Hurst is factory installed.

Look for CamaroScotty... he posts here quite a bit. If you click on the available listing of vehicles he has one with that upgrade in (it has an upgrade code). I wish I had known about that, but I don't have the "loose" issues with my manual that some people have. A lot of complaints about miss shifting, and I can't say I've done that yet. Anyone have the price on this upgrade and if the dealer can do it after the fact?

The Hurst is factory installed. __________________ It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
