Audio install

I've been meaning to get some decent pictures, but this will have to work for now. I'd like some feedback... but pictures will soon follow. Excuse the lighting... it was a little dark when we did the video. List of equipment is in the description of the video.

Here are some addition pre-install pics... or install in progress. The wires that ran the length of the car had to be extended by about 2 feet or so to make room for the 4" mids that were placed into the kicks. The metal behind the panel was cut out so that the speaker could sit recessed in there so that a kick panel would not be in the way of the clutch. All the sound deadening included in the pics.

Nice job... Thats a lot of damping. I wonder how much weight it added.

You did a nice job on the damping. I'll bet your fingers are really sore from handling that stuff. Are you planning to add a layer of low density foam over the high density matting?

My fingers were pretty sliced up by the end of everything. It was my first experience with sound deadening like that. We thought about adding the foam, but in the end decided not to. There is very little that still rattles. Most of it is on the outside, like where the trunk meets the back window. I think the rear deck is clacking slightly on the back window as well, but I just haven't tried to trace that noise down.

Sorry I've been slacking on the pictures. Here are some of the finished install. Or at least mostly finished. The trunk still needs a few trim panels at least.

What brand of interface did you use with the head unit... Did it come with the faceplate?

Thanks for the feedback. And that is the metra kit. It functions fine, and looks alright, but I really think the fitment could be better.
