hesitation right after 1-2 shift on M6?

I've got about 1400 miles on my 2011 LS. I've noticed since after the break in period, and the first time i took it all the way up, after the 1-2 shift (which i may add that the 1-2 and 4-5 gear ratios are ridiculous) thre's a little studder/hesitation and then it gets going again.

Is that possibly a traction control thing, or something that's normal?

I haven't had that happen yet on my LS M6. but then i've only done full speed shifts a few times. I thought it did quite well better than other cars I have drove in the past. no hesitaion that I can remember.

am i not giving enough information? hence the no replies? it's just like the car stutters a little bit after the shift but then pulls hard afterwards. doesn't happen on the 2-3 shift.

Mine pulls hard in every gear but 6th, which is not what it is for anyway. When I hit the gas she goes!.

Are you sure it isn't a clutch issue rather than the engine?

In my experience the 1-2 shift is the hardest by far because the gears are low, speed is low, revs are high and it is very difficult to find the sweet spot...it is there, but don't try to do more than it can do.

I have seen the lag too, but with 20,000 miles it smooths out.

I've used several things: Turn off Traction and Skid Control, drag the clutch a bit, blip the throttle, even a little speed shift.

Haven't noticed this, about 12,000 miles. Assuming you're not letting up on the throttle and hammering away...

You have to shift at about 3k in 1st or you will get that bog you are speaking of. Its because 1st has such a high ratio. Don't shift until about 14 mph.
