2010 Camaro V6 vs. 91 Z28?

Just wondering. Stock to stock, which one of these cars would win at the track? 2010 Camaro V6 or 1991 Camaro Z28

14.4 @ 98. 0-60 in 5.8

Same motor and transmission as the 91-28. Same car pretty much.

If equipped with a 350 tpi and performance axle I would say the 91 z28 would have the edge.

As the race went on I would imagine the 5th gen 6 would have the edge. The tpi motors fell flat on the high end.

Exactly. The TPI engines had great low end torque, but they would run out of steam by about 4500RPM. No top end power whatsoever.

if the 91 is a 5.7, the 91 will definitely win.

The V6 2010 hands down. Not even close man. I had a 92 5.7 GTA and ran a 14.9 bone stock. After a trans rebuild/shift kit/ 1.6 RR's/ UD pulley I got it down to a 14.4

At the track last time I went every V6 was running 14.7 or faster with the fastest at a 14.5

TPI's have torque but lack any high end and only make 245hp.

Tune port injection. Low end torque is at lower RPMs, high end is at higher.

I think it would be a close race.

Define track. On a road course stock vs stock the V6 would rule. IMO.

I'm guessing you have a different motor in that RS. A TBI 305 wouldn't beat a new malibu
