Factory Defect - Very minor ding

My plan has always been to order a Camaro exactly as I want it. However, the dealer has one that is damn close. I wanted the grey interior and it has black. Anyway, back to the point I go.

When looking it over I noticed a minor ding where the driver front wheel well flares out from the fender. The top comes to a slight point before resuming it's correct curvature. The sales guy confirmed it was a factory defect and that they can fix it for free. It is so minor that I would be more worried about paint matching than the ding. How does GM cover these issues?

I'm wondering if the dealer could get GM to rebate some cash that they could pass along to me instead of fixing it? How much should I look for?
