Replacement ECM to Save Warranty?
I was wondering if removing your stock ECM and replacing it with a modified ECM would work to save the warranty. That is, make all of the mods to a "spare" ECM. If you have a warranty issue, reinstall the stock ECM before taking the car to the dealer. Will the dealer know the ECM has been out of the car?
Of course if you have a supercharger or something else major, this is a mute point. Just a thought.

Theoretically it could work. Theres a couple problems, firstly you cant buy a new ECM form GM, its a restricted part. Secondly I don't know if the ECM keeps odometer data but its likely that when they hook the computer up to your car they will see a discrepancy between the BCM (or whatever controls the odometer) and ECM. Or maybe they won't, we really wouldn't know without trying it.
that said, some dealers just don't care.

No it won't work. This one saves the mileage accumulated, so when you put it back in, it will be missing the miles you accumulated while using the other one. Plus the issue of trying to buy one, and get it programmed...

I guess I will leave the 2010 alone and keep tweaking my LT1 in the 69.
