Just another thing for GM to jack up the price. It's neat, but not a necessity at all. Maybe if they make it just an option and not mandatory.

The tech's already been posted somewhere, can't find it at the moment though

Its the natural evolution of the HUD that GM's been using and improving for well over a decade. It should be incredibly useful in low visibility conditions. By the time they get it to production, it shouldn't cost that much, its only a few cameras + software + current HUD. Though its perceived value would be much higher, so expect it to be a premium feature costing an extra $2000, for $50 worth of parts. If it becomes standard, it won't jack the price up any more than the HUD does for the 2011 Camaros or standard backup sensors do for any other car.

It is cool, and I've seen shows and stuff that eventually the cars themselves will keep themselves in the lanes between those lines in case you drift off to sleep or something.

But like said above...maybe an option. Not standard.

I will be getting that in a couple of months. I will install the new xbox360 kinect to my camaro. It will let me fire rockets into those annoying slow left hand drivers.

It would be nice as an option and not mandatory as someone stated.

It's usefulness would be in regions where dear, panthers and other animals linger in the road and watch the headlights get closer.

Therefore, maybe an optional safety feature.

Not to mention more you'd have to pay for to get repaired, replaced, etc. Nope, I don't want the Minority Report/I-Robot car.
