It is IF it covers all 8 quarts of Mobil1 synthetic.

I've seen similar "specials" but in fine print they say it only covers up to 5 quarts of oil and that anything above that costs extra. With most dealers charging between $10-$15 a quart, that extra cost can add up.

The dealership I bought my SS from did $39.99 synthetic oil changes for life.

For my 07 GT500 it was $100 a shot for synthetic oil changes.

Like previously mentioned, if it is indeed 8 quarts of mobil synthetic + oil filter then it's a great deal. That comes out to $50 per change, and if you were to do it yourself it would be $7 x 8 + $6 = $62, so you would actually save money and not have to do any work.

Now if that is just for 5 quarts of regular oil and more quarts/synthetic costs more then it's a ripoff. $50 per oil change with 5 quarts of reqular oil is whack, you can get that done for less than half that.

Check the fine print and see what it says.

If it actually is for "up to 8 qts" of Mobil 1 full synthetic and filter, yep, that is a very good deal. Read the fine print, make sure it doesn't say "up to 5 qts."

You can buy the 5 qt jug at Wal Mart for $21.00 X 2 = 42.00 and have 2 extra qts for next time. Then buy a good filter for 7 to 8.00 and be under 50.00
