LS3 Coolant Temperature Fault

Has anyone experienced a "Coolant Temperature is 185 degrees" pop up on the DIC while driving? Twice now I've had this show up while cruising and the only way to clear it is to turn car off. Both times the heat had been on. Took to dealership but no fault codes showed up and no service bulletins. Have to wait till I get the fault again and drive it to dealership.

Not that, but this AM mine (L99) said AC off due to high engine heat.....after sitting all night....and the temp guage was not registering at all....(even after driving to an appt. and back)...oil & trans temp is good. Then when I started it again after getting home & turning it off for just a minute, it was, well, a "difficult" or "laborious" start. Any ideas???? Bad engine temp sensor screwing with the ECM maybe??? Can't get it in @ dealership till like Tues.....

Try this....worked for me....so far!
On advice forom a trusted associate, I disconnected the neg. battery cable for 10-15 min. to "reset" the system and it seems to have worked! The temp gage is registering again, no DIC msg...all seems fine for now after a good 20-30 mi. drive on errands!!! Kinda like a windows os reboot!!! Hope it lasts!

Yea I've had no issues starting and dealership found no codes. I put the roto fab cai on also but can't see how that would cause this. I'll wait a bit and try the battery cable but I had it off when I put the cai off. Its only happened twice. Thanks for the feedback.
