Regarding battery location
I just took delivery last Tuesday of my 1LT RS, and I really love it! Had a heck of a time finding the battery. This subject has probably been beaten to death on this Forum at some time, but I couldn't find it with a search on here, nor was it anywhere in my 2011 Camaro Owner's Manual! On page 10-29 it says refer to page 10-6 for battery location... not there at all! C'mon GM this is important. I finally did a Google search and found a MOTORZ video on removing the battery that included a warning that with the battery disconnected or removed, if you shut the trunk lid, your only option to open it is to lower the rear seat back, crawl into the trunk and release the escape handle. Now that's not a huge problem, but owners and others you have servicing your battery or disconnecting it for whatever reason need to know this. I'm thinking it's something that should have been included in the Manual. I've got no problem with the location, just the communication. Then again, I could be just the last one to figure this out....
Oh yeah, if you're like me and didn't already know, the battery is in the trunk, in the spare tire well, in the center of the donut, or tire inflator holder.

Yes, this could have been easily solved with a lock cylinder on the trunk - but those are ugly! I let mine sit all winter, starting it up every couple weeks. Right before I brought it out of storage I threw my battery tender on it for a few hours.

If you don't want to strain yourself while crawling into the trunk, there should be a positive post for jump starting under the hood, just bring a fresh battery and jumper cables and the trunk should open.

Or you could leave the trunk unlatched.
