Anyone have any recommendations for OBD-II readers? Specifically, something that can be used to read/clear trouble codes, monitor fuel efficiency, and stuff like that.
Dashhawk is a name I've seen tossed around a bit, but I understand it is no longer being supported. Anyone have any experience with Garmin's ecoRoute HD add-on for their GPS units? It looks like a simpler system without all the bells and whistles, but might be good enough for the more casual driver, like me. Any comments or recommendations -- either for serious modders or casual drivers -- would be appreciated.

I don't know Don57. If you find out let me know. I've tried the one that I have had for several years that works on my 99 Ford Motorhome, my 2004 Colorado, and my daughters 2003 Mazda.
But it won't communicate with my 2011 Camaro at all. |

I have this http://www.amazon.com/ScanGauge-Comp.../dp/B000AAMY86 and it seems to work fine. I'm not really sure I believe the instant MPG but that could just be me. You can clear codes with it and it does have some custom setup you can do on it. Overall, its probably the cheapest out there and its nice and small to stick somewhere out of the way.
