Popular Mechanics: Breaking in a new ride...

I never thought of changing oil after only 20 miles, but I am thinking twice now for my next car. Not too sure about the authors opinions on tranny fluid. Although I agree with him on the cylinder walls and bearings.

Hard/soft break in, storing a car with the gas tank full/empty, and changing oil frequently vs listening to the olm, will be debated until the last humans walk the earth. It would just be nice if the engineers that designed these cars would have more input, instead of marketing and legal departments, when writing manuals.
