Engine ordering

Ok we all know, or should know, that we can get any GM engine we want in our Maros. But what about getting, let say, an LSA in a V6 Body??? Does anyone have any insight on this. Ahem, *cough* Scotty*cough*

I've got an LS7 ordered for mine....its sitting on my buddies garage floor right now all shrink wrapped and beggin to be in a Camaro. I'm sure there will be a few ambitious souls like us who will start our own optional engine programs going in the near future.

You will have to order the car complete and then order the engine on the side. After that, you will have to have someone install it.

But....

you want to toss an LSA into a V6 body, etc?

then go out and buy a new tranny and all the other components that are going to be necessary for the swap as well.

OR....but it "pre-built" from a special dealer who builds the special edition cars. I would not even want to think about price, though.

Shoot...you'd be better off buying a 1SS and tossing on a magnacharger.

And the 1SS will have a V8 trans and the bigger brakes.

If you were going to spend that much just debadge the SS and bondo up the mailslot and repaint. Add a supercharger, or if you want to be super stealthy and don't want supercharger whine you can build an LS3 up pretty nicely NA. voila! sleeper.

I hope we can order a sleeper B4C Camaro in the future, LS looks with an LS3 and maybe some 3.73 gears for the option. My 99 LS1 was the best sleeper, looked like a plain six and would pull a 12.8-12.9.

I would love that option and would think that it would be competitively priced with the CTS-V. I really do. Don't see any reason why it should be higher.

i know this is getting quoted a lot, but there's a lot of things you could build with a wad of cash. for example - a BIW with your LS9, made to look like every other base Camaro
