THE WAIT..how did you guys do it?
ok so on 9/15/2010 i ordered my 1 omg look at those lines on that car LT..RS package having ..black stripe wearing..silver badass ice metallic road machine..now the wait...dealer said 4 to 5 weeks..ok i can do that...but as it turns out seems to be harder than i thought would be..40+ years old and feel like a kid waiting for xmas...how did you guys and gals deal with it?if you can remember..cuz im sure the first time you sit in it..ajust the seat just right..adjust the mirrors..wrap you hands around the steering wheel..give that key a turn and hear it fire up for the first time..slip it in first gear ease that clutch out ..drive off the lot..all the feelings of the wait will be long forgotin...

I spent every waking non-work moment on this forum absorbing every tidbit of information about the fifth gen! Most of us know 100x more than the sales people about the car. That comes in handy...Good luck and hang in there!

ckaram...i do spend alot of time here..alot of very,very good info here..and yes i knew more about the car and options than my salesman did..

I ordered mine 1 week before you.
How am I handling the wait???? Easy- I am deployed, floating around on a ship and won't be home until December.... so... Just spending a lot of time on the internet ordering MODs. Works for me!

2011 ss/rs..first thing thank you for your service ...and as for mods i guess thats an all new thread ...too many things to do to it ,i dont know what to do first..but thats a good problem to have..

It ain't easy, but this forum really helps. By the time my car was delivered, there was very little I did not know about the car. I was teaching my sales guy.

Spent a lot of time on here gathering info. Followed on Camaro tracking and followed on the tracking thread on here. Ordered a Jada die cast of my red Camaro to look at on the shelf in the mean time. Mine took exactly 7 weeks from order to delivery. Ordered 7/21/10, delivered 9/7/2010. =)
