My First Mod (Bowties)!!!

I just covered my bowties in metallic blue vinyl. I love 'em! What do you think of them?

That's one of the cleanest looking vinyl jobs I've seen. I this hard to do?

Not very hard. It was my first time working with vinyl. I watched this video from youtube to learn how to do it.

The front was a little harder than the back, because the front has a more pronounced curve to it. It makes it easier to have a piece of vinyl that is an inch wider and longer than the bowtie to have extra material to hold and maneuver. I cut a 4"x8" rectangle for the back and a 4"x9" rectangle for the front.

Looks great. That is the way they should have been from the factory. Personally I think the gold sucks.

Good job though
I went with blue because I want the blackout like the LS7 in the back and wanted the bowties to stand out against a black background. I also wanted an accent color to pop against all of the Orange on the car. Other accents (hood spears, gills, LS7 blackout) will either be flat black or gloss black. I will probably do the interior trim kit in blue, though! I'm not sure what color I'll paint the engine color, yet...

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!
