Is this fair asking price 2010 SS/RS/M6, 2SS option package.
I was offered a great deal on a 2010 HPE Camaro SS/RS and I am thinking of putting up my 2010 Camaro SS/RS/M6 w/ 2SS option package for sale.
I looked on KBB and private party sale price was $35,500 but I have several options I have put on the car that should add some value. Here are car details, what do you guys think would be a fair price? -Black SS/RS/M6, 2SS option package, ordered 1/2009 delivered 6/17/09 to dealer -Gray leather seats -Sunroof -6,400 miles -AAC powered exhaust cutouts w/ option digital readout -G5CR cold air intake -Blue LED footwell lighting -Aluminum pistol grip shift knob -Factory cover The car is in better than new condition. Stored in the winter, never even been in the rain. Kept in my garage covered since I received the car. I have 4 coats of Liquid Glass car wax. The oil has been changed twice w/Mobile One. I was thinking of asking $37K in hopes of getting around $36K, obviously I want to get the most I can for the car. Please let me know what you think I can get for the car. Russ |

Dont kill the messanger, but I think 32-33 would be tops. For a fast sale more like 30-31. I just bought a brand new 2010 2SS/RS manual MSRP 37435 for $34580 out the door, and it qualified for $1500 in free GM accessories. So it will have the off road exhaust, camaro floor mats and cargo mat, plus they are tinting the windows. Not as nice as some of the mods you have added. But I think it would be very hard to find a buyer at 36K for yours.

![]() Remember, aftermarket accessories are always a loss. These will not increase the price you will get and you will never get the money back off of them. You will always get more money if to remove the accessories and sell them separately from the car. Looking at your mod list, NONE of your mods will add value to your car. If you had a supercharger and body kit, then you could start asking this but not in this current state. The current resale value of the 2010 Camaro is $4-$5k below MSRP which will put your car in the $32-$33k range. You simply can not ask more for a used previous model year car when you can buy a new current model year car for less. |

I have to agree. I just bought EXACTLY the same car, but 2011 for 37,200. With the HUD to boot.
I was thinking, from a buyers perspective, 30K tops I would give, or I would just got for the lower finance rate of a new car. The insurance for anything more would require gap insurance.

Thanks for the info, I have not kept up on sell prices of the Camaro's and thought they were still going for almost list.
I would have to get $35K for the car or I am not buying the HPE. Looks like I will be keeping my 2010 SS/RS. Russ |

If I were looking. I would run away as soon as I saw the mods. Mods do no increase the value of a car. Just the opposite. The potential buyer does not know who installed them or if they will cause problems. Especially transferring warranty or getting warranty work done. If you are really serious about selling. Reinstall ALL factory components and try again. The emblems look nice but they are no more helpful selling the car than a bumper sticker. Just my thoughts.......Keep it! Especially if you really enjoy the car.

I have all of the OEM equipment in my garage so putting it back to stock would be easy. I think a potential buyer would not be turned off by the mods since they could easily put everything back to stock should they choose to.
I would have no problem buying a Camaro that had mods so long as the owner kept all of the OEM stuff. I would prefer buying a Camaro if it mods that I wanted, it would keep me from the hassle to do them and the cost. The HPE is a dealer demo that has 11K miles on it. The sales guy @ the dealer is a guy I have purchased many cars from and said I could have it for $39K. If I could have gotten $37 for mine I would buy it. I am not going to sell mine and have to pay up to $9K more. My Camaro has some sentimental value that is making me have second thoughts as well. My daughter and me went to the dealer to order the Camaro and was the first Camaro SS ordered @ the dealership. I have pictures of her and me looking @ the photocopied brochure because there wasn't even a glossy brochure available yet. We went through every available option and discussed each one before deciding if we wanted it. The only thing we disagreed on was the sunroof, she wanted it and I didn't. Ended up she was right and I love the sunroof, good decision on her part. She would probably be pissed off if I sold "our" Camaro since she knows it will be hers in a few years. My daughter ordered Car & Driver magazine when she was 13, no teeny magazines for her! The man in me wants the higher HP, but the dad in me has second thoughts. Russ |
