The dome lighting is superr simple to do yourself.. it takes literaly 1 minute to do
I just did the footwell lighting in my friends camaro this weekend and i will be doing mine as soon as i get my lights.. i would recommend installing it yourself because it will save you money for more mods and its all very simple .. good luck

^^ the above process is pretty good but it worked even easier for me with wire taps so that i didn't have to cut any insulation on the wires. i also have no prior experience in wiring or lighting and i have to say its a good thing to learn how to do.

Do you both have them connected to your dome light switch?

Yeah as long as you tap into the dome light wire it will also work off that switch.. in my friends camaro we added another switch so you can have the dome light on and turn off the footwells if you want to.

Yea, i would say wiretaps are nice. but i like to make sure my connections are perfect, which is why I strip, and solder the wires together. lol. I don't really like crimp connectors =p

i followed the instruction on the above thread then for the extra switch i just ran a wire under the panel by the shifter and hooked a switch up that connects between the power wire under the dash and the light strip.
