H&R Super Sport Springs
Like the Title says, I am looking to get these springs and I wanted to see if any other Camaro owners have put the H&R Super Sport Springs.
Pics please. These Springs drop the car 1.8 Front and 1.7 Rear. Thanks. |

If it does drop that much, I think you'll be needing some camber plates as well. I don't see how you can get the alignment anywhere near specs with that much of a drop, without them.

In addition to the comment above, going that low will make quick work of the factory dampers and result in poor ride quality. If you need more than about 1.4 inch then you should probably look at coil overs.

I know what I will need to get and about ride quality. I just wanted to see if anybody has dropped their car using these springs.
Coilovers are out of my budget, too expensive. |

I have read before that lowering springs could wear out the factory struts faster but not sure why that is and what can be done to avoid this if possible? Although I do want the improved look of lowering it one inch I don't really want to have to start replacing other parts because of it and if it is something that would be a continuing issue than I may not bother at all. Also can you specify what would constitute poor ride quality versus the stock ride? I have improved my ride quality with the sub-frame inserts and front sway bar and don't really want that to change. Thanks |

Most members know that this much drop on the factory struts will kill them and ride like crap so as for pics with springs you might not find any. Save up and get the some coils it will be worth it.

Although I am a big Pedders fan and already have some of there parts on my car their springs are a bit pricey for me. But I do like the fact that Pedders claim that their drop springs do not adversly affect the ride quality at all. Decisions...decisions

I'm no expert, I just spend a lot of time on the forums, so I could be wrong.

![]() I know the lower the drop, then the car is more than likely to have bad ride quality, but i just don't see why a company would offer a product that would mess up your suspension. I don't know. |

I understood all of that, some of the above posts just made it seem like it was going to completely destroy the suspension. |
