Hey all,

You will see that I didn't call this the "End of the Season" cruise since many would criticize that choice of words. But, for many of us the reality of our north latitude will be setting in soon (

). The trees are turning wonderful colours but the weather is getting more unpredictable. That said (and fingers crossed) the forecast for this weekend looks spectacular. So, time to get them out for some fun in the sun while it lasts!!

Some of you will be familiar with the Sunday cruises that CCFBG does (http://www.ccfbg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11568). Update - CCFBG doing 2 short cruises this weekend - 1 Sunday 1 Monday

I don't want to conflict with their cruise but it seems SUNDAY is the better day here. I propose a somewhat "spirited" drive this SATURDAY through some of the colourful and twisty roads to the west of the city. Some of you will recall way back in the spring (Easter weekend perhaps?) I posted that I was getting the car out for the first time and was planning to go for a drive in the countryside west of Mississauga. That casual post quickly turned into a 12 car + convoy that actually included some celebrities (thanks again for coming out Ellie). It took us through some nice roads that I enjoy often and the only real problems were the remaining frost heaves and sand left over from winter.

This cruise will be something very similar (minus the frost heaves). It will start on the north side of Mississauga, it will likely end down somewhere near Burlington and will last 2-3 hours. I'll try to include 1 or 2 stops for rest, photo ops etc. But for the most part this will be a "drivers cruise".

Starting point: Tim Hortons Mississagua Rd. & Derry Rd. (http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...o+L5N+8J4&z=16)

Starting time: SUNDAY Meet @ 9:00; Depart at 9:30 SHARP

Ending point: Most likely will be Philthy McNasty's Burlington as that seemed like a good spot (http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&saf...,0.027788&z=16)

Please arrive with a full tank of gas. Bring your GRMS radios if you have them. Printed directions will be provided but not all of the roads are well marked.

Hey Scott, Is is Sat or Sun? Also, it's Mississauga Rd & Derry not Dixie. The same place where we meet is the spring in April? Because the map you show seems different from that place.

Saturday or sunday, im pretty sure im busy all saturday but im definitly going to have to drop in for a section of the cruise if i am busy, if im not, then long cruise it is

And as for the state of my current rubber...

Early saturday morning I was going across Sandalwood in the north end of brampton and came in direct contact with some construction.. Going slower than molasses on a cold winter day and avoiding anything that looked hazardous I thought I was in the clear when 'pop'.. I connected with a loose screw :\.

It's in the tire, and I've since had to put in an order to replace my rears. The tread was low enough as it is... but sadly I have to wait up to Monday... I'm hoping for friday.

Anyways Scott, Saturday is a VERY busy day for me, however, i want to come and join in for atleast one leg of the cruise, if not atleast at the meet up before the cruise

Just wanted to followup, if all else.. as soon as my new rubber is on, I want to either:

1.) Organize a grand finale cruise for the GTA crew.

2.) Have an afternoon lunch cruise / get together that involves a fall color cruise, and a great restaurant north of the GTA.

3.) Camaro Drive In... if its still happening in Oakville!!!
