Smile Gts Black outs and hid headlights?

Ok it says to take off the headlight covers when turning on the headlights due to the fact the covers will melt. This seems like a real inconvience does anybody with both hids and the kit do this. Do u just leave them on? Problems with the kit happen to you ?? Let me know

Are they like the tail light covers and use Velcro? I'd do it but I wonder if they attach in a different way
