Do fiberglass hoods need hoodpins?

Ive been having people tell me that fiberglass hoods are bad cause they have a high chance of flying off and they need hoodpins. Is this true? the reason i ask is cause im looking at the rksports ram air hood and its fiberglass. Thanks for the help!

I had a fiberglass hood on my Charger for over a year and it never flew off. And I did alot of highway driving, too! I think it depends on how well the hood is constructed, especially around the bolt holes.

I see you're from Odessa! That's my hometown, but I'm in Houston for school!

That would be a big generalization. If it is installed right, I don't see why the stock mounting equipment would have trouble holding down the hood.
